A Theoretical Foundations session within TIPC’s Open Learning Series, open to STI funders, analysts, researchers, and policy makers.
About this event
In this session, we will revisit the Transformative Innovation Policy principles, focusing on the Multi-Level Perspective and the notion of Transformative Outcomes, and explore how these ideas apply to design and selection of experiments (or experimental policy interventions).
We will examine the different ways in which a project, program or policy can trigger transformation, and look into the co-construction of flexible theories of change as the base device for monitoring, evaluation and learning processes.
We will also reflect upon the methodological and implementation challenges of the TIP formative evaluation framework for experimentation, through specific examples – and in interaction with the audience.
This TIPC session will be led by Diana Velasco (INGENIO (CSIC-UPV)), Rob Byrne (SPRU) and Christina Miariti (SPRU). Language of delivery is English.
