The next stage in the operationalisation of the Transformative Innovation Policy framework took a step forward with the launch of the monitoring, evaluation and leaning (MEL) component of the new TIP Resource Lab.
The international policy and practitioner audience had the opportunity to test a tool to identify the potential of Transformative Outcomes (TO), one of the central elements of the TIP methodology, within their policies and projects.
The tool helps unearth the answers to such questions as: Does the initiative addressed a social challenge? To what extent? Could we do better?
By addressing these questions evaluation and learning takes place to stretch projects toward transformation. The MEL component, the third in the Resource Lab. contains four sections which focus on the relationship between evaluating, monitoring and learning in Transformative Innovation Policy and draws widely on the experience of TIP projects in Africa, Europe and Latin America.
The final preview event takes place on 5 December, the last before the official launch. Register here.
