Policy Labs for New Mobility Services

Poster

Abstract

Electrification, servitisation and automation are all promising trends within the transportation system. But for the promises to be fulfilled and facilitate a shift to more sustainable modes of transportation we need adequate policies. We therefore investigated two existing regulations through policy labs. The first case was policy adaption enabling a transition from exclusive company cars to inclusive commuting services. The second case explored the integration of existing policies with emerging ones in the context of safe introduction of unproven technology. Both cases highlighted contradicting interests among the stakeholders as well as established and emerging policies and how the labs served as a neutral place for sharing views and exploring possible ways forward.
