Deputy Director: Biodiversity Mainstreaming
Ms. Dan’sile Cindi holds an MBA and Honours in Agricultural Management with more than 12 years’ experience in the natural science field of work. Dan’sile is the Deputy Director of the Biodiversity mainstreaming directorate at the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) where she coordinates a network of partnerships between SANBI and other national departments, civil society, NGO’s, Academia and local government with regards to ecological infrastructure. She is currently leading the Communities of practise programme of work in 4 catchments (Berg-Breede; Olifants, Tugela and uMzimvubu) on a project called the Living Catchments working closely with partners in convening communities of practise, her work also includes guiding mainstreaming work on biodiversity and ecological infrastructure through policy planning in the Agricultural sector, supporting demonstration projects as well as development of decision making supporting tools and catchment capacity development.
