Biography
Gilberto Gómez is Follow-up Secretary for the Cabinet of Science, Technology and Innovation, (SENACYT), Panama. He has a Master's degree in Public Policy from de Universidad de Antioquia, a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the Universidad Santa María la Antigua and he is candidate for Specialist in Science, Technology and Society from the FLACSO Ecuador. In his current role he has led: the formulation of the new loan with the IDB 2024-2029, the design of the three new legislative projects to strengthen the science, technology and innovation system, the redesign of the new Strategic Plan for STI, among others. Previously he worked as an independent consultant in the education sector, and as a researcher.
