Klaus Kubeczko

Biography

Dr. Klaus Kubeczko is Senior Expert Advisor and scientist at the Center for Innovation Systems and Policy at the Austrian Institute of Technology. He has an industry background as electrical engineer and holds a PhD in Socio-Economics. His expertise and publications range from smart energy systems to smart cities and the transformative innovation policy instruments to achieve the energy transition. He has been advising policy makers at IEA, European, national and city level on these topics for more than 15 years. He is scientific coordinator of several Europe-wide projects including the European Smart City Lighthouse Project RUGGEDISED and the ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems Project ReFlex. For the IEA TCP ISGAN he is Operating Agent of the Annex 7 on Smart Grid Transition and Institutional Change.
