Biography
Mr. Robert van der Have holds a M.Sc. (Economics and Geography) from Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and is in the process of finalizing his doctoral dissertation at Aalto University, School of Science in Finland. He has worked as a Research Scientist in the team Innovation, Economy and Policy at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland since 2006. His research interests and substantive experience are in the areas of: the determinants and dynamics of new product, service and social innovation in industries and firms, (social) entrepreneurship; the interplay of regional environments and organizational dynamics; as well as new forms of innovation in manufacturing firms, including ‘servitization’ and employee-driven innovation. He has 10 years of experience with collecting and analyzing historical, object-based innovation data, as well as working with survey- and patent data, and reporting research results and implications to both policy and academic audiences. His work has been published in Research Policy, Strategic Management Journal and Scientometrics. During the 2009/2010 academic year, Robert was a Visiting Scholar at the Stern School of Business at New York University
