TIPC 2018 INNOVATION FOR TRANSFORMATION CONFERENCE

The 2018 conference and engagement week was held at the University of Sussex, Brighton, UK, in October. The theme was ‘Innovation for Transformation’. Below are reports and an artist’s impression of what was discussed during the conference.

2017 Conference
The inaugural 2017 TIPC conference was hosted by the South African National Research Foundation (NRF) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium. The two-day event looked at “Prospects for Transformative Innovation Policy” and brought together all five original members to share learnings and achievements from the pilot year. All five members renewed their commitment to TIPC for a further five years, thus marking their transition from the exploratory phase to the core programme.
